A Christmas Issue
« on: November 15, 2007, 07:15:13 pm »
I received an e-mail from Tyson at MelindaFan.Net asking me if I would forward a message to everybody here.

He says
Quote from: Tyson
If you don't already know MelindaFan.Net is raising money to get Melinda an iPod Touch for Christmas from her fans and we are going to be putting voice messages from the fans on it. You don't have to donate to leave a message, so would you be willing to make a post on your forum telling people if they would like to leave Melinda a message to call this number: (315-836-4355)? I hope you will do this for Melinda. Thanks!

I am of course happy to do so. (please note the do not look Melinda icon on this thread)

Thank you Alan. I am sure Melinda will be touched with a lot of us wishing her a Blessed Holiday and she will get to play it as much as she wants

Alan,

Did Tyson say when the deadline for leaving this message will be?

Sorry Desiree, Tyson didn't say.  I posted the e-mail verbatim as he sent it to me.

I think it's Nov. 27th....but I could be wrong.  That was the contribution cut off, so I'm assuming that's the message cut off too.   Thumbs Up

Edit to change to the 27th

I think it's Nov. 30th....but I could be wrong.  That was the contribution cut off, so I'm assuming that's the message cut off too.   Thumbs Up

That's what Dani was thinking too.  Thumbs Up

Oh my Gosh!!! I just called to say my message, and I know that I was talking to a machine, but it felt like I was actually talking to her...I WAS SHAKING LIKE A LEAF...I'm STILL shaking. That was hard, but I am really happy...and I tried my best to sound relaxed while saying my message!
We did it!

Thank you so much for posting this, Alan and thank you, Dani for sharing that post with them!

For those of you who haven't called in I thought you would like to know that messages can only be a total of two minutes. After that it cuts you off.
My "I Love Melinda Doolittle" dance! ---> Dancing Banana

I just called. I had to write down my message first to read to the voice mail so I wouldn't stutter. I made it through.  Super excited
