Bono and the Boss top the list of upcoming CDs
By Kevin C. Johnson
POST-DISPATCH POP MUSIC CRITIC
01/04/2009

New CDs from Jay-Z, Lily Allen, 50 Cent, Gretchen Wilson, Missy Elliott and Eminem were among the planned music offerings that failed to show last year, although Guns 'N Roses proved that most CDs eventually will find a release date.

Never mind that Axl Rose and his crew were well over a decade overdue.

We trust we won't have to wait nearly as long to hear new CDs from Bono and U2, and Bruce Springsteen, the first potential blockbusters of 2009.

Their release dates, and many of the following new CDs and reissues scheduled over the next couple of months, seem firm — at least at press time.
