Sue's Haiku-like poem
« on: September 13, 2007, 08:33:04 pm »
Sue I hope you don’t mind that I posted this:

I use a minimalist approach, a haiku-like tribute. Actually, the only part resembling haiku is the number of syllables!

For Melinda

Shy, powerful voice,
Made Stevie proud,
The beginning.

Mom and Gayles' support
Gave much love and

By baby steps grew,
In own voice revealed,
Fresh now.

Backup grew bolder,
Began believing,

Swayed, rhythmed and "mend,"
Home, valentine
Wowed crowds.

There Will Come a Day
Sang more hope
For tomorrow.

Each week more soaring,
"Master class,"
You were glowing.

So sad, but
You knew God's plan.

You held up the light,
with Gladys, bliss,

Natural Woman
On tour,
Delight and rejoice.

Your future will shine,
Huge career in view,
Dream Big!

That is a beautiful Haiku!!! We learned how to write them two years ago in school, I wasn't to good at it though.
Much love, Alexis Big hug
We did it!
