While walkers, runners, and cheerleaders are assembling in Nashville to take part in the Country Music Marathon and raise money for Malaria No More, another Backup, actually a Baby Backup!, (and all by herself) has organized a wonderful event to raise money for the same cause. The information is here below, and you can all check our "Making a Difference" section in the home page for more details.
Please, let's thank Alexis for all her hard work and dedication and wish her good luck with the organization of this event
I cannot wait to see this board inundated with reports and pictures from Nashville and the Union Endicott High School ... It is going to be an amazing weekend for Melinda's Backups and Malaria No More
What: Union Endicott High School's Stayin' Alive Dance
When:April 25th, 2008
Where: The gymnasium at Union Endicott High School
How: Students will raise money for the charity Malaria No More. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity, and students will have the opportunity to place monetary donations in a given collection area at the school both prior to and during the dance.
Why: The students’ efforts will help bring anti-malarial drugs and bed nets to a multitude of people in Africa. This aid will both treat people already suffering from the disease and protect people from contracting it.
