What if we were able to provide sponsorship/grants to school who were needing to cut their music program? Or if we did a specific scholarship for a student applying to Belmont's vocal music program?

Both great ideas!

I agree - didn't she come back after graduation to work with new Belmont students on  a continuing basis? Obviously, music education is very important to her...

And I just made my third level  banana dance  - not too bad for being here less than 24 hours. Of course the night Vamp hours helped a lot - thanks Nicole and Nancy!

Now, how exactly did you do that?   Huh?  I've been here from day 1 and have barely gotten up to 2!   Sad

We'll like to hear more about the charities you currently participate in, or would like to....

 Thanks

I support the following charities--

http://www.malarianomore.org/index-magnum.php
http://www.junglefriends.org/
http://www.prime-apes.org/
http://www.savethechimps.org/
http://www.savetheorangutan.co.uk/?p=15
http://www.howlermonkeys.org/
http://www.elephants.com/
http://www.pigs.org/
http://www.sanctuaryforseniordogs.org/
http://www.pancan.org/

I would love for this group to eventually work with Melinda directly to develop a clean water project in her name.

Sara, I love your charities.  Anything to help and protect animals.  I totally want to do a clean water charity, just one that she supports.

I'm pretty sure she said something about the clean water in an interview from her experience in Africa.  I remember something about that.  That is why I donated to it anyway.  Has she said she supports all the other charities?  Just wondering what kinds of things we are going for and what we aren't Smiley

From my understanding things will be narrowed down to about four charities that we can focus our attention.

How about our real TIGERS, who are so severely endangered that there are more in zoos than in the wild?

Excellent point Bernie. Thank you for mentioning the tigers. I did some volunteer work this summer at a big cat sanctuary. So sad to see their freedom had been snatched from them by our species.
